What the console does

sosmedai.com is a console for scheduling and publishing an organisation's own social content. One queue, five channels, and each platform's limits checked while you write rather than after a publish is refused.

Five channels, one queue

Every channel sits on the same calendar and goes out through the same pass, so a week of content is planned once rather than five times. What the console does with each one differs, because the platforms differ:

TikTokcaptions up to 2,200 UTF-16 units
Video only, because TikTok has no text-only post. This console reaches the account's drafts rather than its profile: the video is uploaded, and somebody finishes the post in the TikTok app — with the caption typed there, since the upload carries no post text.
Instagramcaptions up to 2,200 characters
A feed image, a carousel of two to ten files, a Reel, or a Story — one choice per post, plus alternative text for a single image. Every file is fetched by Meta from a signed public URL.
Facebookcaptions up to 63,206 characters
A message on the Page you choose, or up to ten photos, or one video with it. A multi-photo post is one feed entry with the pictures attached, not a batch of posts. Every file is fetched by Meta from a signed public URL, and a video is reported as submitted until Meta finishes transcoding it.
YouTubecaptions up to 5,000 characters
A video with a title, uploaded to the channel. The privacy level the platform actually applied is reported on the queue, rather than the one you asked for.
Threadscaptions up to 500 characters
Text on its own, which is a complete post here — or one file, which Meta fetches from a signed public URL.

Checked while you write

A refused publish wastes a slot, and most refusals are knowable in advance. So the composer applies each platform’s own rules as you go, and names the rule rather than a generic error:

  • Caption length, in the unit that platform actually counts — TikTok measures UTF-16 code units, not characters.
  • Attachment count and kind: a carousel has a minimum and a maximum, a Story needs a file, a text-only post is refused where the platform has no such post type.
  • Picture dimensions, read from each file's own header, against the aspect ratio that platform publishes — and refused by name when a format has no published requirement rather than guessed at.
  • Whether the account you picked is connected, and whether the channel's app is permitted to publish publicly yet. Both are shown separately, because an account can be genuinely connected and genuinely unable to post in public view.

The queue, and what it records

A post whose time has arrived is picked up by a publish pass and reported on: posted with the URL the platform returned, refused with the platform’s own message and log id rather than a bare failure, or held with the reason it was never sent — a missing file, no account, a channel whose app review has not landed.

A post that has not been tried is never reported as a failure. That distinction is the whole point of the queue: “waiting on something” and “the platform said no” need different actions, so they are different rows.

Drafts

A post can be written before anybody decides when it goes. A draft has no airtime and nothing publishes it; an airtime asked for on the row is what turns one into a scheduled post, and the draft stops existing so one intention never has two records.

The video studio

The Studio turns one sentence into one vertical video. It writes the brief behind the sentence — what is seen, what is said, how long — and shows it to you before anything is filmed, so a bad direction costs nothing. Attach a photograph and it becomes image-to-video: that picture is the opening frame, and only the movement is generated. Every finished clip is kept and offered in the composer’s attachment picker, so a post reuses a clip rather than paying to render it twice — and media the console generates is labelled as AI-generated wherever the upload path can set that label.

The quote on a clip is an estimate drawn from published provider rates — one image when the frame is drawn, one voice when there is a line, one clip — and the screen labels it a quote rather than a bill.

What it does not do

It does not publish anywhere except a channel somebody has connected and a post that is actually due. It does not read analytics or engagement from the platforms, edit a post after it has gone out, finish a TikTok post on your behalf, or remove a platform’s own review requirement — an app that has not passed an audit publishes where that platform allows and says so on screen.
